Tammy Sarracino, OTD, M.Ed., OTR/L

Tammy Sarracino, OTD, M.Ed., OTR/L, specializes in pediatrics, sensory-related disorders, and school systems. She graduated from Elizabethtown College with a B.S. in Occupational Therapy in 1983, and earned her Masters in Education from Pennsylvania State University in 1995. In 2016 she completed her Occupational Therapy Doctoral degree with the University of Kansas. Her professional career includes extensive experience evaluating and treating children with a wide range of diagnoses.

Consultant and trainer for the Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network’s statewide initiative on autism(1997-2002).

Field researcher for Winnie Dunn, PhD,FAOTA., author of The Sensory Profiles, and internationally respected occupational therapy researcher, author and educator (1992-93).

Member of the American Occupational Therapy Association’s Aspire Cadre of service providers in school settings (2001 to 2004).

Author of numerous articles published in national occupational therapy, allied health, and educational journals and newsletters (1985 to present).

1995 Recipient of the Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy Association’s highest award for achievement.

Certifications in administration of the Southern California Sensory Integration Tests (1986), the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests (1990), Interactive Metronome® (2002), and Tomatis® Method (2013).

Author of the first edition of the Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy Association’s Position Paper on Guidelines for Occupational Therapy Practice in Pennsylvania’s Public Schools(1995), as well as co-author of the revised edition (1999).
