TherAbilities' therapists are dedicated pediatric specialists who practice in diverse settings, including schools, preschools, early intervention, homes, and our out-patient clinical offices. We provide evaluation, treatment, training, consultation and community support for children and young adults experiencing unique strengths and needs. Our specializations include applied behavioral analysis and behavior, physical movement, gross and fine motor development, speech and language skills, assistive technology, sensory processing, self-regulation, daily living skills, visual and auditory perception, education, and emotional health.
Twenty-five years ago, three pediatric occupational therapists followed our dream to create a community-based private practice for families and educators in Central Pennsylvania. In our first few years, we added a pediatric physical therapist, speech therapist, and early childhood educator. Now we are a transdisciplinary team of more than thirty specialists working across multiple settings throughout Dauphin, Cumberland, Lancaster, Lebanon, Northern York, Adams and Perry counties.
Our Story
TherAbilities strives to provide the most effective occupational, physical, speech and behavioral services and supports for our pediatric and young adult clients. We understand the importance of integrity, effective communication, honesty, transparency, and dependability in our professional and business interactions. Achieving effective outcomes for our clients is based on the skills and knowledge of our therapists, as well as the trusting relationships which motivate and support our clients to strengthen and grow their abilities. We will continue to advance those therapeutic, behavioral, educational and scientific practices which demonstrate the most effective, evidence-based outcomes for our clients.
